CD 'Izzat Respect'

25 Mar 2003

Izzat means 'respect' in Hindi.

Izzat brings together an international cast of artists inspired by Trilok's talent. Each artist chose a track from Trilok's illustrious past and revisited the original work, interpreting it in a variety of highly personal styles. From the fierce energy of FUN-DA-MENTAL, who have reworked "Om" to the avant-garde turntable sounds of ROB SWIFT (of X-Ecutioners) on "Blessing In Disguise", the artists involved with IZZAT bring the unexpected to Trilok's work.
Artists include Black Star Liner, Fun-Da-Mental, Rob Swift (X-Ecutioners), Orchestral World Groove, New Flesh, and Feelgood Productions.

In 1988 Trilok began performing at European Festivals with his own group, and presented his own compositions on the stunning debut album "Usfret". A brand new generation of young musicians were inspired by this incredible talent. This new generation appear on IZZAT - their tribute to the master percussionist.
