Why this title? First of all, because we like it. It is also true that, in some sense, Tralha [Junk] has taken over the record concept.

"If we recall the three last original albums, they’ve obeyed to really well defined ideas – “Cor” the Indic cultures, "Lobos Raposas e Coiotes” duet with Symphonic Orchestra, “Chorinho Feliz” the Brazilian culture – this is the first record in many years to which we departed without a required theme.

We’ve started with the idea of doing a much more electronic record than all the previous. Additionally, we’ve thought about adding sounds not produced by musical instruments. Finally we decided to use all those ideas with parsimony. And this is the result. We’ve gathered all the junk [Tralha] that we wished, when we whished it.

We’ve used the sounds that each track asked for, benefiting not only from the great musicians that played and recorded with us but also from the ideas that everybody brought into this project. We have made great use of the excellence of Nelson’s work and his ideas.

When we hear this CD we recognize – and everybody certainly does too – that it contains a much collective work. And nothing gives us more pleasure than that."
