Lenny White & Present Tense Technical Rider
The following rider represents the requirements of the ARTIST on the attached contract. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY. By signing it, you are agreeing to supply the Artist with certain equipment and working conditions which are essential to their performance. Any breach of the terms of this rider is a breach of the contract and may cause the ARTIST to refuse to perform, without releasing you from the obligation to pay them. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. No other act may appear on the same program without prior written consent of the Artist.
2. Artist(s) shall have the sole and exclusive control over the production and presentation of their performance with regard to staging, lighting, sound, wardrobe, emcee, and material.
3. Purchaser agrees that he will not sell any products identified with Artist at the place of performance or any other adjacent place under his control without expressed consent of Artist.
4. No portion of the performance(s) rendered hereunder may be broadcast, recorded, filmed, taped, photographed or otherwise embodied without authorization by Artist’s manager or our manager. Photography must be by available light only, unless requirement is waived by Artist or Artist’s tour manager. There may be a time limitation imposed upon photographers by Artist.
5. Purchaser agrees to supply all necessary permits, licenses, and authorizations from any and all government agencies, bureaus, departments, Federal, State, and/or Local governments and to provide Immigration clearances if the engagement is to take place outside of the United States.
6. Purchaser shall provide the Artist with ten (10) complimentary tickets, per performance.
TRANSPORTATION
7. Purchaser shall provide (at no expense to Artist) all local transportation needs. This includes airport/hotel/sound check/performance/hotel and return to airport. Sufficient vehicle(s) for transportation of 5 persons, 1 acoustic bass flight case, drum set, guitar cases and personal luggage must be provided.
HOTEL
8. If performance is outside of 50 miles from performer’s home, purchaser shall provide (at no expense to artist) six (6) hotel rooms for each night of performance the Artist will perform. The hotel room should be at least Four (4) star rating (international rating) and must be approved by the artist upon arrival to the location. If the Artist is required to find other accommodations, due to the lack of proper arrangements, the Purchaser will reimburse Artist no later than by the end of the last day of performance for the total cost of the room(s).
SOUND and LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS
9. A professional sound and lighting crew to operate systems, assist with load in/setup/ load out, and to work with artists for desired results.
10. Purchaser shall provide at his sole cost and expense a first-class professional sound reinforcement with minimum requirements as follows:
- A twenty-four (24) channel mixing console with Four (4) separate stage monitor mixes, pre-fade sends, and two (2), post-fade sends, for effects. If a console with six (6) auxiliary sends is not available, a separate on-stage monitor console should be supplied. Minimum three (3) band EQ on each channel and overall 1/3 octave equalization.
- Four wedges for on-stage monitors.
- Two (2) multi-effects processors, Yamaha Rev 7, SPX 900 or similar.
- An assortment of twelve (12) high quality microphones, stands, etc. (see attached stage plot and microphone input list)
11. Professional lighting system capable of assorted stage washes and specials for performers. Follow spot(s) not required with use of specials.
BACKLINE REQUIREMENTS
12. A nine foot (9’) acoustic grand piano Yamaha or Steinway (Steinway preferred) subject to the Artist’s approval. The piano must be tuned to A440 prior to sound check, and retuned before show time per Artist request if necessary. A concert grand piano bench is to be provided.
13. Keyboards – Yamaha Motif XS 88key & Fender Rhodes with a good keyboard amp. European promoters must provide all compatible electronic amp step converters.

DRESSING ROOMS/HOSPITALITY
20.
- Two (2) comfortable and private dressing rooms with clean lavatories, full-length mirror, tables, chairs, garment rack, and wastebaskets.
- Food and refreshments for six (6)people to be prepared and inside artist’s dressing room by artist’s specified load-in time. Fresh Coffee and Half ‘n Half, Hot Water for Tea, Selections of Herb Teas (No Caffeine), Regular Tea (Black Tea, Caffeinated), Twelve (12) one-liter bottles of Evian, or other non-carbonated water, Twelve (12) bottles of carbonated water, Fresh Fruit and Fruit Juices GRAPE JUICE a priority (such as apple, grapefruit, pineapple, orange, ), hot and cold cups, sugar, sweet and low, honey, cream, lemon and limes, ice. Granola bars, healthy snacks. Fresh Fruit (such as apples, oranges, banana, strawberries, melon, pears, seedless red or green grapes), Assorted cheese plate, raw or steamed vegetable, whole wheat bread and rye bread. A variety of nuts (pistachios, cashews, almonds, etc.) and raisins in bowls. Condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, etc.) with plates and eating utensils. Six (6) clean hand tows. Hot meal to be catered at the venue, for six (6) people. HAVE A VEGETARIAN ALTERNATVE MEAL ALSO. Time to be specified by Artist’s Road Manager. Each dinner should include a salad.
CANCELLATION, FORCE MAJEURE
21. Artist’s obligation to perform hereunder shall be excused if Artist, or any of his group essential crew, is unable to perform as a result of illness or injury; detention resulting from inability to obtain reasonable modes of transportation; riots or other civil strife; strikes or other forms of labor disputes; epidemics; an act or order of any public authority or court; any act of God; or any other cause beyond Artist’s reasonable control. In such event, Artist will not be required to perform and shall return to Purchaser any deposits paid, less costs incurred by Artist and neither party shall be under any further obligation to the other.
I HAVE READ THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND RIDER AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
