In 2024, the legendary award-winning Italian acoustic guitar virtuoso Antonio Forcione reunites with fellow Italian/Sardinian guitarist, composer, and educator Giorgio Serci for an unparalleled musical journey.
Forcione’s vibrant fusion of African, jazz, Latin, and flamenco sounds, combined with Serci’s evocative melodies, creates a world-class performance filled with passion and melody. Their collaboration, marked by wit, personality, and musical virtuosity, promises a dynamic show that transcends genres and captivates audiences worldwide.
Forcione, celebrated for his inventive style and globally recognized compositions, recently released his 20th album, “Sketches of Africa.” He is currently focusing on a Cuban-inspired project, collaborating with esteemed artists for his upcoming album and music-documentary film titled “Trova.” Additionally, he is recording a new album inspired by Neapolitan songs with the trio InCanto, formed by Antonio Forcione (Guitar), Benito Madonia (Voice), and Giorgio Serci (Guitar).
Giorgio Serci, renowned for his performances and collaborations with prominent artists and orchestras internationally (David Garrett, Ivan Lins, Basia), seamlessly blends jazz, classical and world music to create captivating compositions and contemporary jazz harmonies. His compositions are published by Trinity College London Press and Hal Leonard. He is Professor of Jazz at RHUL and ACM.
